This introductory class focuses on the storyboarding techniques used primarily in TV animation production. Topics discussed will range from the basics of shots and composition, build up to shot progression/ movement composition, to the more advanced creation of pacing and rhythm in a story sequence. During the homework feedback, the class will also discuss drawing shorthands, acting and action choreography.

RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE: Intro to Perspective, Dynamic Sketching, Analytical Figure Drawing, Sketching for Environment, Costume Gesture Drawing
MATERIALS: Laptop, Wacom & Photoshop required

INSTRUCTOR: Samuel Szymanski is a storyboard artist working in the animation industry. His past projects include "Ben 10", "Lost in Oz", "SuperMansion", "Wacky Races", "Big Hero 6", "She- Ra: Princess of Power" and "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".
