This introductory storyboard course focuses on the basic drawing and staging techniques used in the animation storyboard profession. Topics such as storyboard language, pipeline, drawing tips, character acting, screen direction, staging, composition, cutting, & exploration of different types of story genres (gag, cinematic) will be discussed in the in class lectures and demos. Class HW exercises are designed to simulate work environments to help prepare students for the job environment. This is a great class for anyone who wants to prepare themselves for the feature animation industry as a story artist.

This is a hybrid class that is taking place at CDA CAMPUS.

RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE: Intro to Perspective, Dynamic Sketching, Analytical Figure Drawing, Sketching for Environment, Costume Gesture Drawing
MATERIALS: Laptop, Wacom & Photoshop required
