This introductory course teaches the students how to research, observe, and breakdown what they see into unique design opportunities. The students will learn how to extract interesting design themes from their references and learn how to translate it into various design solutions. Through the exercises, students will broaden their design vocabulary and understand what visual elements will translate universally regardless of the subject matter.

PREREQUISITE: Intro to Perspective, Vis Com 1: Dynamic Sketching, Analytical Figure Drawing, Head and Figure Drawing, Sketching for Environment, Intro to Figure Painting, Intro to Digital Painting
MATERIALS: Traditional sketching mediums, Laptop, Wacom & Photoshop required
INSTRUCTOR: Peter Han is a freelance concept artist on various projects such as "Defiance", "Splatter House", "Coca Cola Commercial", & "Tavat Eyewear".
