This introductory figure drawing class serves as a transitional course between Vis Com 1: Dynamic Sketching and the more intermediate Analytical Figure Drawing class. This class focuses on the key fundamentals such as the human proportion, clear squash and stretch shape design, how to establish solid forms/overlaps, clarity in center line and clear body gesture to unify the pose. Throughout the term, students will learn how to break down the figure using a simplified manikin system to better understand weight and to efficiently blocking in their figure.
