This introductory design course focuses on the creation of fantastical, yet believable creatures through the use of personality, anatomy, movement & behaviors to help tell us a story about them. Techniques such as thumbnail sketches, line drawing, digital painting, photo manipulation, and advanced rendering techniques will be discussed and demonstrated in class through out the semester.

INSTRUCTOR: Brynn Metheney is a freelance illustrator/ concept artist with clients such as Wizard of the Coast, Disney Publishing, Tor Books, Fantasy Flight Games, Dark Horse Comics, Warner Bros, & Sony Pictures, Some of her recent projects include “Valerian”, “MIB International”, & “Scoob!”.
