This introductory course focuses on creating characters with strong personalities and visual interest. Topics such as archetypes, shapes, posing, expression, capturing personality & costume will be covered by the in-class lectures and demonstrations. This is a great class for anyone interested in getting into the character design field. (Previous figure drawing and Vis Com 1 experience are strongly recommended.)

RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITE: Vis Com 1: Dynamic Sketching, Analytical Figure Drawing, Animal Anatomy, Figure Invention for Animation
MATERIALS: Computer with Photoshop (or Procreate) and digital drawing tablet (Wacom, Cintiq, iPad or other equivalent digital input tools)
