From the high tech future of “Elysium” and the modern day designs of “Chappie”, to the low tech dystopian world of “Mad Max”, Aaron is one of the key concept artist responsible for the unique and memorable character, weapon and vehicle designs that made these films so fantastical yet gritty with realism. In this class, Aaron will share with us his design method of using real world designs as the base to help him gain freedom to push his designs further. Topics such as creating iconic designs through the use of animals gestures, adding details to give the design an extra level of believability, and mixing imageries to create an unique design will be covered through the slide lectures and in class demos. This is a great course for anyone interested in creating unique and believable designs for film and game productions.
