Composition is the first principal in the creative act of image making, paramount above the study of drawing or painting techniques. In this workshop, Marcos will cover the basic tools of composition, camera angles, choosing the right story moment, establishing visual tension, using light/shade to create graphic patterns, figure composition, sub-composition elements and how to apply these ideas into an image to tell an engaging story.

INSTRUCTOR: Marcos Mateu-Mestre is an Art Director working at Sony Animation. His past projects include "Prince of Egypt", "The Road to El Dorado", "Puss in Boots", "Turbo", "How to Train Your Dragon 2", & "Penguins of Madagascar". Marcos is also well know for his book, "Framed Ink" and his graphic novel "Trail of Steel".
