This introductory design class focuses on the visual development process of designing sets and props for animation production. Topics such as research, idea/style exploration, style guide creation, composition, exterior shot design, interior set design, lighting, prop design, & art work presentation will be covered in the weekly lectures and assignments. This is a must take class for background designers to learn the key skills needed in an animation background design position.

INSTRUCTOR: Robert St. Pierre
Robert is a Production Designer and Vis Dev Artist that is well known for his stylistic range, strong sense of perspective for technical set designs. His past projects includes “Duckwing Duck”, “A Goofy Move”, “Space Jam”, “9”, Princess & Frog” “Winnie the Pooh”, “Mickey Mouse Club House”, and “Star Trek: Prodigy”.
