Drawing for animation is a very specific skill that requires the artist to capture the personality of the character and communicated it in a split second without the use of words. In this foundational drawing course, we will be focusing on the important skills of people observation, drawing powerful actions with weight, how to organize character clothing and drapery, how to communicate subtext through a well designed pose, how to draw characters in perspective through clear overlaps, and how to approach drawing animated animals and act with them. This is a great class for anyone interested in character design, animation or storyboard that want to improve on their character quick sketching skills.
