In this foundational environment composition/ layout design class, students will learn how to use perspective for the purpose of composition and narrative storytelling. This class will covers the fundamentals of composition using perspective as an aid, choosing the right POV (eye level), how to contrast graphic shapes and space to lead the viewers’ eyes, how to create a sense of scale, how to draw perspective for organic spaces such as clouds, jungle, sea and grass lands, and when to break perspective rules for the purpose of storytelling and art direction.
