This intermediate class focuses on the in depth use of camera to build up tension and study the different genre/staging methods of various film directors. Topics such as acting, camera placement, shot timing, and fight choreography will be covered in the weekly lectures and homework assignments.

Jay Oliva is a Director, Storyboard Artist, & Co-Executive Producer who have worked on many memorable projects such as "Man of Steel", "Wonder Woman", "Thor: Ragnarok", "Spiderman: Homecoming", "Deadpool". "Antman", & "The Dark Knight Returns Part 1&2". With 22+ years of experience in the animation & film industry, Jay is currently the owner of Lex & Otis, an animation studio creating animated shows for Netflix Streaming Services.
*Due to reasons such as instructor sick day, family emergencies, storm, earthquake, fire, flood, disease outbreak or other unforeseen circumstances, Concept Design Academy reserves the right to push any class back 1~2 weeks in schedule if necessary and change the class format to adjust for the emergency situation. Students are strongly recommended to plan their schedule with some flexibility in mind to avoid schedule conflicts.
