This introductory environment design class focuses on the visual development process of designing sets and props for animation production. Topics such as research, idea/style exploration, style guide creation, composition, exterior shot design, interior set design, lighting, prop design & art work presentation will be covered in the weekly lectures and assignments. This is a must take class for background designers to learn the key skills needed in an animation background design position.

MATERIALS: Traditional sketching mediums. Computer, Wacom, & Photoshop are needed toward the end of the class.
