This class focuses on the creation of key storytelling illustrations used in presentation pitches & pre-production for games & movies. Topics such as choosing shot/story moment, gestural composition, creating clean thumbnails for director approval, fine tuning character poses, & various material render/painting techniques will be covered during the in class lectures/demos.

INSTRUCTOR: John Staub
John is a film and game concept artist who specializes in creating memorable character designs and key frame illustrations that captures the tent pole moments in the story. John’s past projects include “Captain Marvel”, “Black Panther”, “Avengers: Infinity War”, “Avengers: End Game”, “Spider-Man: Mile Morales”, “Shang-Chi” & “Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness”.
TIME ZONE: All CDA class days/times listed above are based on the Los Angeles PST/PDT time zone.
