This foundational painting course focuses on the study of costumed figures with the intention of capturing character and storytelling. Topics such as facial structure, lighting, values, shape design, color, gesture, hands, material indication & composition will be discussed and demonstrated through the in class painting demo and feedback. Poses will vary in length starting with quicker color studies to 2 week poses. This is a great class for anyone who want to improve on their character painting skills for their concept design and illustrations.

(To protect our instructors whom are in a higher-risk group, this class requires students to wear KN95 masks at all times in indoor areas. To optimize spacing, we are only accepting 10 students total for this course.)

You will receive all the class-related emails for this course about a week before the first day of class.
