During the early stages of an animation production, vis dev artists are brought onto the project to explore and inspire the visual direction of the film. These designs need to serve the purpose of the story & each artist is often hired for their unique visual style and ideas. In this class, Elad will share with us his experience on the skills and design thinking needed for animation preproduction. Topics such as environment, set, lighting, & prop design will be touched as the students focus on establishing the overall visual look of the project. Due to the advanced nature of the course, portfolio review & previous design experience will be required.
