This painting course focuses on teaching students the production pipeline and painting techniques used in creating animation backgrounds for feature and streaming animations. Topics such as digital painting workflow, basic color & lighting principals for clear staging, working under different BG art style directions, incorporating 3D model into efficient painting process, and how to create a level of finish for a production ready background. This is a great continuation class for students who have taken “Sketching for Environment”, “Perspective & Cinematography” or “BG Design for Animation” at CDA.
